Despite the fancy Cantabrigian clientele (including the mistress of munch herself, Dame Julia Child), Henrietta's Table exudes a friendly and relaxed atmosphere well suited to its simple, delicious New England cuisine. Meals begin with the best bread you've ever had, an incredible cranberry-walnut concoction ($16 in Henrietta's mini-store). The menu sticks to the country kitchen basics (meatloaf, fish, pork chops, chicken), all prepared with the freshest of seasonal ingredients. Mix and match from a selection of side dishes ($4.50), including golden, griddle-cooked hash browns. But don't forget to save room for dessert ($7), especially the acclaimed chocolate bread pudding. Good wine list and a separate full bar, as well as patio seating. Also the best and most expensive brunch ($39) in Harvard Square. Entrees $13-17, specials $22-28. Su-Th dinner special 2 courses for $24, 3 courses $30, including sides. Children under 5 eat for free and ages 6-12 get half off!

Having pampered the Cantabrigian elite since 1985, Le Pli's Charles Square spa attracts everyone from the rich and famous staying at the Charles Hotel to plebian students in need of rejuvenation. In this classy, black-and-white enclave, personable staff will carry out your every desire; be it a glycolic peel ($40), a 1½hr seaweed wrap ($65), or a 1½hr hot stone massage ($165) that is sure to rub away those midterm blues. If facials ($80/hr, $60/30min), make-up lessons and application ($75), tinting, waxing, pedicures, and manicures ($20) aren't enough, pamper yourself with one of their packages ($132+). Hair cuts start at $60, and highlighting at $130. Walk-ins welcome, but appointments recommended, especially for spa services.

Sequestered in a corner of the Charles Hotel, Noir is a sophisticated bar and lounge with prices to match. As its name suggests, the decor recalls 1940s film noir, with atmospheric red lights overhead and dark corners for darker deeds. Fortunately, Noir doesn't take itself too seriously, making for a fun and even cozy night out. On weekends, the bar lets its hair down a little: live music occasionally hits the joint, and the crowd starts wearing jeans and, shockingly, sometimes flannel. The innovative menu, designed by Rialto's Jody Adams, satisfies late-night cravings of all sizes with everything from a single chocolate chip cookie ($1) to soy ginger beef skewers ($7), as well as an extensive selection of pressed sandwiches and grilled flatbreads ($8-10). Drinks from the bar are mostly top-shelf alcohols (bottled beers $4-7, mixed drinks $9-13).

The key is to show up between 5 and 7 p.m. on weeknights, when the food is all steeply discounted (everything $5 or less). Definitely worth a trip.
Template:Jazz Music
Contrary to what your beatnik friends may have told you, the finest jazz clubs often reside in the hearts of swanky hotels, and Regattabar is no exception. Hosting big-name national jazz acts (Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Diane Schuur, and McCoy), the jazz bar also showcases a wide variety of emerging talent, most notably during its annual Regattabar Jazz Festival held every Feb.-Mar. Don't show up expecting your crush to pull up a stool next to you—there's a better chance that the attractive man next to you will turn out to be your History professor. A limited number of general admission tickets are available 1hr before the first show of the evening. Cover tends to be steep at $12+; min. 1 beverage per patron on F/Sa nights. Casual to semi-formal dress. The website lists the Regattabar's performance schedule and ticket information ($1.50 surcharge for online bookings).

Graffiti is a place for quick notes. Know the hours of a business but not sure where to put it? Did something just happen at this place? Leave some graffiti.
Sometimes street view does not point exactly to the right place. You may need to "drive around" a bit.
