Younger than the Boston Public Library by five years, the Main Library has a long history of providing bibliophiles, both young and old, the best that literature has to offer. This branch has an impressive children's room. There are separate sections for toddlers, young adults, and juveniles, as well as a parent resource area. Children have Internet access on one of three computers. Two others contain a computerized catalogue of books. The library offers a wide range of childrens' programs including story hours and other special events.
