Forget Herrell's. Bypass Toscanini's. Run past Baskin Robins without even looking twice, because Christina's in
Inman Square has, hands-down, the best ice cream in
Cambridge (and maybe Boston). Indulge in one of their more exotic flavors—Chocolate Banana, White Coffee Mocha Flake, Adzuki Bean, or Mango, for example—or stick to the more basic (but equally delicious) fruit and chocolate options; either way, you won't leave disappointed. Yogurt-seekers will be in heaven with Christina's incredible variety of hard yogurt—the mint chip, oreo, or coffee toffee flavors are so good, they could almost be ice cream. Substance abusers can pass the time between their morning nip and afternoon cocktail with flavors like Kahlua, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Rum Raisin; Christina's also offers a variety of coffee and mocha options for “lightweight” users of everyone's favorite gateway drug. Notably cheaper than ice cream shops in the Square, and with a lot more character, there's no reason not to make the leisurely walk here. Besides, after filling up on all that ice cream, you're going to need that 15min walk to waddle off all that guilt. Ice cream and frozen yogurt $2.15 for 1 scoop, $2.85 for 2 scoops, $3.34 for 3 scoops (feel free to mix and match your flavors). Sundaes $3.77-4.71, banana splits $5. Ice cream cakes (order in advance or buy a pre-made one) $15-30, depending on size.
