Forest Cafe

Though its name tells nothing of the Forest Cafe's cuisine, the sea of Mexican flags within quickly dispels any lingering expectations of toadstools and the like. Only a 10min walk away, this cafe may be worth it for inexpensive Mexican fare arguably better than that of the Square. House margaritas ($4.25-6.25) are supplemented by a nice variety of Mexican beer, all of which can help chase down the endless free chips, salsa, and guacamole, or quesadilla appetizers ($4-8). Specialty seafood dishes at the Forest Cafe are mildly disappointing and overpriced; stick to the cheaper enchilada and burrito variants ($8-12).
