Montrose Spa's crowded shelves stock the usual convenience store amenities—household items, lotto tickets, and cheap cigars, as well as fresh treats like sweet rolls, breads, and tempting produce. The real secret, though, are the amazing pressed Cuban sandwiches made while you wait. Also, try the delicious chicken salad with cranberries sandwich. At $5+, they're a delicious bargain unknown even to many long-time locals. A scant selection of fresh flowers and inexpensive coffee ($0.60 small, $1.35 regular) make the walk home to the Quad or Dudley Co-op less painful.
