Thank you for your contribution. You've taken a huge step to making Povo the "word on the street,"
and we appreciate it very much. Because of the complexity of the "wiki text" and code that can be used
on Povo, in order to edit this section in the future you must click the "edit" button to the right of the section
heading (or for the whole page).
Template:Jewelry Store
This place will transport you out of Cambridge quicker than the Chinatown bus. Right out of Canal St. in NYC (it's disappointing to find there's no “back room”), the store is overflowing with cheap bags, jewelry, hair clips, and those slipper shoes everyone and their mother seems to be wearing. A great place to find the earrings for that dress or the bag for that outfit without feeling frivolous. The stuff isn't expensive, and the owners support a college in Nepal. Glittery stuff of all sorts $5-30. Cash only.

Template:Copy Shop
Next to Tower Records, this Gnomon location has the capacity for heavy-duty copying chores. At 8¢/copy it is more pricey than its Mass Ave. cousin, but overnight and volume discounts are available. Color copies made on a laser color copier from photos, slides, or disks, $1 apiece. Self-service copier, 5¢. Résumé service, folding, cutting, and laminating. Mac and IBM-compatible rentals with 600dpi printer available.

Template:Photography Store
This small but comprehensive shop caters to everyone from shutter-happy tourists to serious film and digital photographers. Stock your darkroom here with enlarger supplies, paper, and chemicals, or just browse through the selection of inexpensive but classy photo albums ($10-40). Hunt's also provides rental services and accepts used equipment trade-ins. Digital photo printing $1-3.99 for 4x6; passport photos $10.49 /set of 2. 35mm roll of 24 exp. is $15.99 (next day service with a 2nd set of color prints free).

Template:Psychic
Next to Tower Records, in a bright and simple room marked by purple neon writing, Mystic Rosa sits waiting to uncover your future. She's been using her psychic gifts since she was a little girl and incidentally, also taking in cash from her Harvard Square patrons for the past 20 years. Get a palm ($25), tarot ($35) or crystal ball reading ($50), or splurge on an astrological reading ($100) or a Horoscope ($150). Though walk-ins are accepted, it's best to make your appointment with the future in advance. Cash only.

With a wide variety of teas, coffees, pastries, and espresso drinks, and a sunny, airy courtyard location, Peet's attracts everyone from students to yuppies to crunchy locals. Come with your own mug and get 10¢ off your beverage (coffee starts at $1.50, tea at $1.70, and espresso drinks $2.75+). Pastries ($1-3) are notably better than those at competing chains (a.k.a. Starbucks). Peet's is also the place to come if you want to get coffee or tea to brew yourself—they stock over 30 varieties of each and the knowledgeable salespeople will help you pick a type to fit your tastes.

Template:Comic Book Store
Named after one of Ray Bradbury's sci-fi stories, the MYP touts itself as Boston's (and possibly New England's) oldest comic book store. This cozy but often crowded underground abode is home to Spiderman, Batman, and Superman, as well as their lesser known superhero brethren, all accessible with the help of mild-mannered sales clerks. Look also for more obsure yet wholesome titles like Horny Biker Slut and Usagi Yojimbo. The store stocks a fantastic array of graphic novels and book collections, back issues, collectors' items, foreign comics (French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch), adult comics, and T-shirts ($18-25). Subscription services are available at 20% off, but comics must be picked up at the store. Check for frequent creator signings.
