Natural, organic, and commercial groceries available, plus an impressive selection of vitamins, alternative medicine, candles, incense, and natural toiletry products. Check out the bulk foods aisle to sample 25 different types of flour ($0.80-3.50/lb) and 34 varieties of granola ($2-7/lb). A $20 membership fee will get you 2% off all purchases, 10-20% if you're willing to work there 3-8hr/month. The cafe serves up good-for-you wraps and salads ($5-6), as well as smoothies ($4.50), teas ($1.50), and fair trade coffee, including the “Organic Mind, Body, and Soul” blend.

This branch of the Cingular Wireless stores, has a large selection of phones on the floor and a knowledgeable, very helpful staff. Definitely a busy branch, it is a rare occasion that there are no customers. If you think you will need lots of help be sure to go well before the lunch breaks start or well after.

If you're sick of shopping at some of the larger chain office supply stores, this is probably a good place to start. While it doesn't necessarily have the extensive inventory, it does have both office and computer supplies, as well as some MIT memorablilia.

An alternative to some of the larger stores in the area, this artist supply store is at times underated, but offers competitive prices, knowledgeable staff, and a wide selection. For anyone in school or working, as a creative professional this could be considered a hidden gem, and is a great place keep an eye on.
