Tucked into a quiet Inman Square side street parallel to Ryle's Jazz club, Ole is a siesta all on it's own. Probably most well known for making fantastic guac table side, this hotspot also offers delicious margaritas and ice cold sangria. Ole gets busy very quickly, but also has a large back room that is perfect for renting out for private parties. Mexican cuisine aficionados will notice the menu's inclusion of select dishes from the Veracruz and Oaxaca regions. The popular guacamole appetizer provides a bit of dinner theater--it's made tableside, using only fresh ingredients. Standout entrees include meltingly tender pork ribs (slow-cooked in banana leaves) and pan-seared sea bass with red bell pepper sauce. Delicate, eggy flan is usually the only dessert available.

Just across the street from the longstanding Ole, Olecito is a cheap taqueria with the same delicious quality as its more sophisticated older brother. The short-but-thorough menu includes burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and tortas, priced reasonably and always incredibly fresh. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the service is quick. Don't expect to sit down, though, unless it's just for a few minutes at the crowded counter. Olecito opened its doors in early 2008, and is already contending with the most established Boston taquerias.
